Stop Pretending You Didn't Cook The Dessert That We Don't Even Feel Like Eating
I have grown weary of musicians who insist on playing a well-rehearsed encore even when they only get lackluster applause barely warranting a curtain call. Conversely, I respect artists such as Sonny Rollins, who will only play an encore if he's satisfied with his evening's performance, even if his audience cheers deafeningly for fifteen minutes, or Ray Charles, who never played encores because he felt he should give everything he had in his regular set.
